Special Relationship
my former insurance agent handled all my insurances for over 10 years. how does this relationship obligate him, his agency, and the insurer to me for his actions.

An insurance agent/broker is a fiduciary to you in some aspects of what he or she does. That means they have duties to follow your instructions in regard to the various types of, and coverages under, insurance policies you request. Under certain circumstances their advice may be relied on just like you rely on a doctor or a lawyer. Your question is so general that only a general answer is appropriate. What is it you are really asking about? What happened?
