theft recovery
my 2004 dodge ram was stolen back in march of 2007. I made a claim with my insurance and they were going to pay it off as a total loss. about two weeks ago my vehicle was recovered in good cond. i notified my insurance company that it was recovered and that i wanted to keep the vehicle and not to pay off the claim. i even made arrangments with my finance company to catch up on payments. well two days ago the insurance company paid off the claim and now want to sue me for $21000, is this legal, what can i do, please help

Immediately write the finance company and advise this was a mistake, and also write the insurer relating what you instructed them. Contact the claims adjuster and demand they stop the check.
