Legal Question in Insurance Law in California
Can I Tell The Truth and THen Sue My Husband
Irecently lost my driver's license because i was sued for the damages in an auto accident . i thought i had insurance, but didn't. Under pressure and scared i switched seats with and took the blame for an accident my husband, who i will be divorcing soon, caused. he said the insurance would not cover it if he was driving MY car. now i have no license, and i supposedly owe an insurance company $10,000. i am now a single mother of a 2yr old on welfare, with, or so it seems, nowhere to turn. what can i do? will i get in trouble for lying if i try to place the blame where it belongs?

Call legal aid and speak with a lawyer. The longer
this goes, the harder it will be to get it straightened
out.
Why is there no insurance? Did you look at the
policy to see if your husband was correct?
