Legal Question in Insurance Law in California
My uninsured husband was driving
I only let him drive because I was having heart palpatations on the way home. His license is suppended in Oregon and he is listed on my insurance as being excluded as a driver. He backed into someone in a parking lot. The car was parked in a bad spot and not a marked area. What will happen? Will I be responsible? The damange to the man's beat up old car is so minor and he refused to swap insurance info or ID with us. My vehicle suffered the worst and will my company drop me?

Re: My uninsured husband was driving
The other party will either report this to his insurance company and let them pay it and come back to you, or he will come back to you. You will be responsible for the damages. You should ask for an estimate and not pay the repairs until you see a written estimate.
If your insurance company learns of the claim, they will just deny coverage.
