UPS truck totalled our parked car

1988 ford festiva parked in front of our house. UPS driver hit it going 25 miles an hour. All they want to give us is 365.00. Would it be worth it to seek legal advice? (very low income)

Re: UPS truck totalled our parked car

If $365 is not adequate for the value of your vehicle, (you can check on the internet through kelly Bluebook.com, or in the classified ads in the newspaper). If their offer is not sufficient, sue them in small claims court.

Re: UPS truck totalled our parked car

You are entitled to the fair market value of the car. If it is less than $5,000, you can take it to small claims court. It would be counter productive to hire an attorney and pay him to recover for you.
