Legal Question in Intellectual Property in California

I am an artist developing a website for my work. I painted an interesting old abandoned house I took a picture of last year. If I post the image of the painting on my website am I subject to the possibility of copyright infringement by the owner of the property.

No. The Architectural Copyright Act of 1990 carves out an exception for reproducing images of buildings.
