Legal Question in Intellectual Property in California
I have created digital artwork in photoshop using the photographs of a friend. I was granted permission to created the artwork in 2010, and now I'm putting the artwork on a t-shirts. The photographer is fighting usage rights. Please help!

It will depend on exactly what your arrangement was. Without a written agreement, you would not be entitled to commercialize his photos and he may very well have claims against you for this copyright infringement.
