Legal Question in Intellectual Property in California
Am I entitled to patent credits by my employer. Even if I didn't sign any agreem
Hello,
My name is Mike and I work for a company called Raceco International.
Ive worked there since 1994. I work as a sheet metal fabricator.
Raceco Int. builds prototype off-road military vehicles.
I have made, since I started at Raceco, all prototype body panels that make the look of the vehicle.
The vehicle was patented back in 1997 and 1999.
Patent # D414,140 and #5,954,364
In the list of patents for D414,140
These name are assigned as the inventors
Oded owner
Amit Vice-President
Hendrik Manager
Steven Foreman
Since Hendrik and Steven are fellow employees and were paid for their services the same as I.
Am I not entitled to the same patent credits as they are.
I and I alone made every body panel and skidplate on this vehicle concept.
And I never signed any agreement that stated giving up ownership of my invention to the company.
Regards
Mike

I need more detailed information about your contribution to this prototype. If you haven't contibuted by providing idea, inventing some mechanism to go along with the invention or design and merely involved in the manufacturing process, you aro not entitled to patent rights.
