Legal Question in Intellectual Property in California

Facebook Property

In section 1 (Definitions) of this ''Agreement'' developers DOT facebook DOT com/terms.php it defines ''Facebook Properties'' as:

The term ''Facebook Platform'' includes any data, images, text, content, code, APIs, tools or other information or materials provided by Facebook through or in connection with such APIs and services (collectively, the ''Facebook Properties'').

The agreement then proceeds to state that I as a user cannot store any ''Facebook Properties'' for more that 24 hours, with a few exceptions.

My question is whether or not a property of a ''Facebook Property'' is a ''Facebook Property''.

For example, Facebook will give me a list of a users friends which clearly I am not allowed to store. But am I allow to store the number of friends in that list?

(I have submitted this question to Facebook but they are very very bad at responding to queries.)

Many thanks.

Re: Facebook Property

You'd have to refer to the specifics of the Facebook API user/developer agreement.

You're really talking about a sub-set of information contained in the "property", which I think IS also facebook's property.
