Legal Question in Intellectual Property in California
film acting copyright
As an actor, I am trying to put together a reel- a slideshow of shots from the acting work I've done. This reel will serve as a part of my performing resume. I worked as an extra in a major motion picture, and was in a couple of wonderful shots next to very well known faces. Could I have problems under copyright laws if I use those shots in my reel?

That's one for an expert. Try Mychal Wilson of MindFusion Law or Jodi Peikoff of Lichter, Grossman, Nichols & Adler, Inc.. I think either has experience working with new talent and can tell you the answer or direct you to the right person.
