friend
my friends husband is in jail for felony spousal abuse and is awaiting a court date to find out his sentencing. it turns out that she lied about the abuse and now feels terrible is there any way to get the charges dropped and get him free.

I wish people like that would go kill themselves. After having her husband falsely convicted, she's Real Sorry about it? Don't believe it for a minute.

Very unlikely. Once the district attorney has filed charges, the wife's testimony becomes suspect if she changes it to allow a release. It is a common occurrance. The wife is a victim, complains, then starts feeling guilty.
See the advise of the public defender and try to get probation if possible.
