All California attorneys are now required to have an e-mail address on file with the California State Bar. This is a relatively new rule, and not all are in compliance. When I went to the "attorney search" function on the State Bar Web site, I found two active members named John Steele, both with e-mail addresses shown. I suggest you try this. www.calbar.ca.gov.
