Legal Question in Intellectual Property in California
mold in apartment
I have mold growing behind my toilet and fungus growing out of my drywell next to the toilet. My landlord will not let me terminate my lease. What rights do I have as a tenent?

Re: mold in apartment
You may be lawfully entitled to terminate your lease by virtue of constructive eviction or your landlord's breach of covenants of habitability of premises and/or duty to repair. Your best route here is to retain legal counsel ASAP to "put the pressure" on your landlord to voluntarily terminate your lease based on all of the above.
