Legal Question in Intellectual Property in California

Who owns blog content? My former employer set up a website on wordpress for me to blog (at my request). I no longer work there and wish to move my content off this site to another. Can I legally lift my blogs (2 plus years worth of content) from this site?

Unless you had an agreement that stated otherwise, as work product the content of the blog belongs to your former employee � even your personal stories.
