Legal Question in Intellectual Property in California
Protection for idea
I have an idea in which a very simple function/object would be added to an existing extremely popular and profitable ecommerce website that I think would dramatically increase the user traffic on the website and, thus, greatly increasing the revenue and profit even more so for the company running the site. But I will need some assistance in protecting my idea and ultimatley pitching it to the company. Do I need to speak to an attorney or invention assistance company or both? Advice is greatly appreciated!
