Legal Question in Intellectual Property in California

Can I register a trademark of a business name for my online websites (that reviews and promotes) even though there is a company that recently started up an online e-commerce business under a similar name and is a lot more successful? For example, mine is Javi Network and the other is Javi Commerce.

That would depend on a number of factors including whether or not they registered their mark and, if so, what international class they filed under.
