Legal Question in Intellectual Property in California
Hi there! Im thinking about making a PC game or iphone game that has similar card play mechanics from a previously released title from a different company. My question is, would I be sued for making a product like this? Would this be a severe copyright infringment?

The essence of copyright infringement is using someone else's creative work. If you write your own code, you'd probably win an infringement suit, although if the look and feel of your game is similar you might be sued for infringement and have to defend the originality of your work.
