Legal Question in Intellectual Property in California
I am unemployed and have a turntable which will convert old vinyl lp's to mp3 files for playing on computers and ipod type devices. If I offer to do this for people for a price, will I be violating copyright laws?

It may also be a matter of paying B.M.I. This may yeild a good profit if optimally marketed . So have release agreements or compensation agreements in which the artists get a fair share. Contact me direcly.

Yes. It is copyright infringement to make a copy of a copyright protected work. All the releases in the world will not protect you.
