i sold a car to a overseas(australia)_ buyer about 2 months ago and they havent picked up the car yet and finally the call today the pick up time was only 3 week of time and it went past that time and they paid for the car but never called or even emailed me i went down to the dmv and the told me the buyers have no rights to the car after the pick up time can i be suied for the money back

Anybody can sue you for anything. Can they win? Probably not... but document things carefully. Send them a notice that you'll be charging storage fees, and when the fees accumulate to the value of the vehicle, execute your lien against the car.

You can keep the car and return their payment or notify them that you will start charging storage, at a reasonable rate.
