Legal Question in Intellectual Property in California

I wanted to find out some information about the intellectual property and Domain names I own. They are excellent for business. A colleague named an industry mogul they thought would want them. Also, the names precisely fit the profile of a network. I have not listed the names for sale online and have just kept the series together, as I do not want to cheapen the brand. I have seen assorted sites online but have no assurance they are legitimate. What I would like to do is talk to a legitimate source who can package them together to send to a company/or companies. Or, can you recommend an IP, entertainment or business attorney who has done transactions before with businesses and Domain names? The domain names and businesses they promote are excellent, and provide a prompt thought of where they can be utilized. For example, who handled the transactions for names like loans.com. What is the best way to proceed? I can assist by providing some potential purchasers. Could you let me know companies and attorneys who put these together? I can be very discreet on any referrals and contact you privately if preferred, given I know this Q&A can end up online. Thank you.

Before you launch any effort to market the names, or for that matter use them yourself, I'd advise you to research the subjects of "cybersquatting" and "cyberpiracy" through a variety of sites that'll come up when you use these terms in a Web search. Not to say you'd be committing these crimes, but better to be safe than sorry, and a clear understanding of what's allowed and what's forbidden in the area of marketing domain names could save you a lot of grief later on.

Selling domain names continues to get harder as companies and individual lay claim to their "brand" on the internet by forcing the transfer and stripping the domain of its value. If your domain names are commercially generic and you would like an initial consultation regarding the sale of your domain names, feel free to contact me.
