Legal Question in International Law in California
nude photos
I gave my ex nude pictures of me
while I was studying abroad in
Europe and he lived in N.C. Now we
both live in California and he is
threatening to blackmail me with the
pictures, if I do not get back together
with him, he has threatened to
distribute the pictures online, both
by using current profiles I have and
by creating a new one on an adult
site by pretending to be me. What
can I do? I am a college student and
cannot afford much. thanks

Re: nude photos
Decide how important this is to you. You can report his to the police where you and he are located for free. Or you can have an attorney either deal directly with him or seek a court order against what he is threatening to do. You would have to talk to our CA attorney to be sure, but I suspect he has already committed a crime under CA law. In the future, don't let anyone take pictures of you that you wouldn't want even one person to ever see.
