Thailand legitimation law

Hi, I need some advice regarding Thailand law:

What is Thailand legitimation law? Specifically, I need to know Thailand law concerning the legitimation of a child born out of wedlock?

I came across the reference:

Thailand Civil and Commercial Code - Book V, Title II, Section 1547. Is this reference still good law/is it still applicable?

I would really appreciate any insight you may have. I appreciate your help.
