Legal Question in Investment Law in California

investor agreement form

I'm looking for an investor/investment agreement form to give to people who are investing in a product that I am developing. Can you tell me where I can find such a form? Thank you.

Re: investor agreement form

Raising money from the public is an intensely regulated process that absolutely, positively should not be attempted without having an attorney and probably an accountant working with you on every single aspect. One mis-step (and there are MANY steps) could land you behind bars, no matter how good your intentions.

Among the 50 to 100 pages of fine print in most prospectuses and private-placement memoranda, you'll find a one or two page subscription form. Unfortunately, the other 49 to 99 or so pages of lawyer-prepared disclosure material is essential to the safe and legal distribution and use of the subscription form and to the receipt of money from the public.

Laugh. Yes, you can start with the Securities and Exchange Act of 1933.
