child molestation
my son touch a younger female the wrong way and this matter was routed to a social worker who then recommended that my son go to a therapist which he has but now is to appear in front of a juvinile judge this friday. the question is what is the worst case that can happened to my son and will he be encarcerated

It depends on the age of the alleged victim, but your son could be facing child molestation charges under Penal Code section 288. Depending on your son's age, it may be used as a strike against him in the future and there is the lifetime registration as a sex offender.
Being "detained" (held in custody) is a very distinct possibility, given the allegations. Your son needs a good attorney on his side.
