Legal Question in Juvenile Dependency in California

Parents Responsibility?

I'm 19 years old and i was involved in a car crash about 6 months ago and believe it or not my parents took my car away and told me that until im 25 that they are responsible for my actions (killing somebody with my car). I don't believe this to be true, but they insist on it and i have to ride my bicycle 4 miles to work everyday and it's a pain. Please help with some information if you could.

Thanks

-Kevin

Re: Parents Responsibility?

You're 19, you killed somebody with your car, and your complaint is you have to bike 15 minutes to work because your parents won't buy you a car??!? I could remind you that your parents would be well within their rights to throw your ass out on the street or that you are all grown up now and can buy your own car. Instead I will tell you to look on the bright side. Think of the exercise you are getting.
