Legal Question in Juvenile Dependency in California

Relinquish Custody for Medical Insurance

CPS took my son, and after one week placed him with my parents (per court order). He was made a ward of the court last week. My parents want to include him on their medical insurance through my father's employer, but cannot do so without legal custody. Do I still have the right to sign custody over to them, or do they have to get an order from the court? I am still going through court hearings, and am appealing the adjudication decision.

NOW, IN RESPONSE TO YOUR INQUIRY --

The facts that you have provided are not clear

enough and/or complete enough to provide a

say the county has assumed legal custody of the child and probably would have responsibility for providing medical care.
