Legal Question in Juvenile Dependency in California
I sent my son to juvi
Last Oct my son who is 16 wrote checks on my account and I had him convicted. I want to know if I can drop charges since I was not told at the time of the hearing that I could.

If there has already been a conviction, it is too late to "drop" the charges. Additionally, it is not up to you to dismiss the charges, once the D.A. has filed the case. You can refuse to testify, but you cannot dismiss the case.
