Legal Question in Employment Law in California

26 months ago I hired an attorney to file a claim against a company I worked for. he has just 40 days ago filed the claim. a coworker filed the same claim months after I obtained a lawyer and his case is already done and gone. Is there anything I can do about this. I don't feel he has represented me with my best interest and he has jeopardized my case waiting so long and my case was pretty open and shut

You can fire that attorney and hire a new one. If the attorney you hired over 2 years ago has caused you damages and committed legal malpractice (more needs to be known), you may be able to sue for legal malpractice. Find employment law attorney phone numbers on this website.
