2 week notice to employer

I gave my employer 2 week notice of my intent to quit, and one week before I was due to leave he told me I was no longer needed.Does he owe me for the last week?

Since you were fired, you may now be entitled to Unemployment Insurance!

Your employer only owes you wages for the time you actually worked.
