Legal Question in Employment Law in California
So i am 20 years old and work at a bar, on my employment application i was 100% honest and wrote my correct DOB and SSN. Then as i continue working I am offered drinks by my managers, bartenders, owner, and investors in the company; naturally i take the drink. Thinking that they are aware of my age and simply decided to overlook it. I now got a phone call saying that they will be terminating my employment for underage drinking. Can they really do that? Or can i sue them for employee negligence? Or something revelatory?

Unfortunately when both you and the employer are in the wrong, they can still fire you for it. Although it was wrong for them to offer you alcohol, once they did it was up to you to decline. Your failure to decline puts them in serious trouble with the ABC and ATF, and if you want some revenge you can report them and file complaints with those agencies, but once you willingly accepted drinks you should have turned down, you gave them grounds to fire you.
