abusive bosses
I was just fired from a job I loved, and was great at, because I would not allow my superior to wag her finger in my face and be verbally abusive. I walked away from her, and I got fired. I was defending my department at the time against a tyrade that was not of our making, but the superiors. This superior makes snap decisions changing things and not telling anyone then says her employees disrespect her when they ddare to defend themselves. I had been with the compnay 1 week short of a year, and there is only 1 person in the whole office who has been there more than a year. They either get fired for walk out in exasperation. Do we have any legal recourse. She does not pay overtime, insists you work it, she owes me almost $1000.00 that she will not pay me! Do we have a class action suit or anything? I'd say no less than 14 people passed through that office in the year I was there.

The facts in your question do not support a claim for wrongful termination, but you and your fellow workers may have a claim for unpaid overtime. You should contact the Labor Commissioner or an employment attorney in your area.
