Legal Question in Employment Law in California
Accused of Sexual Harassment
A co-worker filed a complaint of sexual harassment against me. The complaint was filed right after her supervisor counseled her about a racial remark that she made to me, which I reported to her supervisor. What rights do I have to protect me from the false accusation and I can sue her for slander/defamation?

All you can do is be completely cooperative with the employer and hope they will recognize the complaint was brought for an improper motive.
Yes, you could sue the co-worker for slander, but if it comes down to your word against hers, it make be a difficult case to prove.
