Alternative Work Schedule

Does a company need to vote in a alternate work schedule if it is only for a specific job? The work schedule would only be temporary. Thank you

Yes, a vote is needed to establish an alternative work schedule, temporary or not. If not done correctly, the employer will be subject to overtime obligations for work over 8 hours a day for non-exempt employees.
