Alternative Work Schedule re-voting
Does a company who currently works an alternative work schedule need to re-vote for it every year?. The company I work for has been on an alternative work schedule since it was voted on for in 1999. The work force is cureently on 4 10-hour shifts. Thank you for your help.

Re: Alternative Work Schedule re-voting
The general rule is an employer can set work schedules any way they want and employees have nothing to say about it. if they are letting you guys vote on it then count your blessings.
Re: Alternative Work Schedule re-voting
While a vote is required to establish the alternative work schedule, it need not be voted upon each year by employees. However, if a sufficient number of employees (one third) wish to terminate the schedule they may petition for a vote. The schedule goes if two thirds of the employees vote to repeal the alternative schedule. Employees can call for one vote each 12 months.
