Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Appeal of a DSLE decision?

I went to a DSLE hearing last week regarding my unpaid vacation time and missed lunch breaks. I was able to present actual docmentation on company letterhead that stated my vacation time was accured not granted. In addition, they had no answer as to why they were adjusting my paycheck to pay me for the 30 minutes that the payroll software automatically deducts for a meal break. It is common practice that the drivers did not get lunches and at this point I am sure that no one that left the company in the first year of employment was ever paid their vacation pay based upon what the company presented during the hearing.

I think that I am going to at least going to awarded my vacation time but I think there is a good chance the company will appeal. What will an appeal be like? Is it a completely new hearing?
