Legal Question in Employment Law in California
My attorney told me that if I didn't except the current settlement offer he was going to walk away from my case.He said my case wasn't as strong as he thought when just two months ago after my deposition he said I had a strong case and nothing has changed since my deposition. Should I look for a new attorney?

It is impossible to tell you anything about the legitimacy of your attorney's behavior or the merits of your case without a complete review of your file.
You certainly have a right to obtain a second opinion. If you change attorneys, however, your current attorney has a right to be paid for the services provided. If you ask the second lawyer simply for a review as to the value of the case, you should expect to pay for that attorney's time as well. As such, you need to make a cost-benefit analysis of whether obtaining a second opinion or changing attorneys makes economic sense.
