Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Automatic Contract Renewal

I have an employment contract in California which specifies a term of 2 years. If I continue working after the 2 years, does the contract automatically renew for 2 years or do I become an at-will employee. The current contract is silent as to renewal.

Re: Automatic Contract Renewal

If the contract is silent on renewal and neither party renews or enters into a new employment contract then the original contract terms have been fulfilled and the contract employee becomes an at-will employee.

Good Luck!
