Legal Question in Employment Law in California

My boss was arguing with me in front of customers, I told her when I was finished with my client I was leaving as she would not stop arguing. The next morning when I went to work, she had her husband there and told me that I was suspended. I have left messages with her boss, but have not recieved a reply. It has been 2 days and I don't know what to do.
