boss crossing the line?

after complaining to my boss that she wasn't treating me fairly and taking advantage of me. she calls my mother the next morning, telling that that my mother was the one pulling my strings, while i did it out of my own free will. i am not a minor. does she have the right to look through my personal files and contact my mother, she does not know my mother personally.

Hello.

1. Your boss has access to your personnel file (and so do you under California Labor Code).

2. Calling your mother is a strange act, but... hardly would be considered illegal so far.
