i'm in CA and was fired due to misconduct, Ithe company provided my training for 2 months as a premises technician, then need to ride with a fellow technician as part of training, when I'm on my own and cant finish the job I asked the tech who trained me and was told to close the job, I was suspended for a week because of this, then July I went for a job and the next morning I called the customer twice to check on the service and will voluntary go to their place but was told they are only available in the afternoon , i was already given another job and I need to finish them and wasnt able to call them back, it was not my intention though not to call back, I was fired and now on 2nd level appeal with CUIB, my first level was denied, please help. thanks

If your next level of appeal is the hearing, make sure to get a copy of the entire appeal file from the appeal's office, either by having them mail you a copy, if there is still time, or by going to the appeal's office and picking up a copy. This is imperative, so you can see all documents, statements and impressions that are in your file and will enable you to prepare for the hearing. Being well prepared to address the issues raised by the employer is key to winning a case.
