Legal Question in Employment Law in California

In CA, I went to work and worked for 1 hour and a half before I was fired. Do I get paid just for the 1.5 hour or for the full day. Thanks

That would depend on whether or not you were a salaried exempt employee or an hourly employee.

Just the 1.5 hours worked. In addition, you must receive your final paycheck, including any earned and unused vacation or PTO - on the day you are fired. If you don't get it on that day, the company may owe you one day's pay for every day you have to wait for it - up to 30 days pay plus your attorneys' fees.
