California Pregnancy Disability Leave

An employee within 90 day trial period is pregnant and missing lots of work what are our rights.

Every action you take will come under scrunity. Therefore, you may not treat her differently because of the pregnancy and you will be required to prove that discipline is NOT based upon the pregnancy - a difficult task. In addition, you are required to "reasonably accomodate" a pregnant employee by making changes in work duties or work area to comply with a doctor's order. You should consider retaining an experianced employment attorney to step you through this minefield.
