California U.I. benifits

I was laid off by my employer and I am collecting U.I. benifits. I must report weekly on my job search efforts. I am also trying to start up a business. Question: If I report to the EED the names of individuals and companies I am contacting to generate business. Will this satisfy the requirements of looking for work?

Try asking U.I. They should be able to tell you whether they will approve this since they are paying your monthly benefit.
