Legal Question in Employment Law in California

California is an at will employment state, BUT!!!

I know California is an at will employment state, but where do you draw the line? I mean, I was a valuable employee, well that's what most (98%) of the other employees said anyways. I had a lot to do with a major turn around in the company for the pass 3-4 yrs, While 1 of that 2% was taking all the credit for it. But for NO reason & NO Warning the said they (the other 1%) had to let me go - (Reduction in Force).
