Legal Question in Employment Law in California

CalPers disability retirement benefits

Injured on the job, 1996. Doctor declared me P&S 02/2002, with work restrictions. Employer said it would be a hardship to accommodate me and did not have modified or alternative work. The Insurance offered me Vocational Rehab., I took it but have not been able to start because of pain. My HMO sent me a letter dated 02/25/2003 telling me that they had been advised to terminate my health insurance, including 2 dependence beening provided through my retirement plan.as of 05/01/2002,thats over 9 months ago. That letter was my formal notification. My HMO is now sueing me for services rendered from 05/02/2002 untll 02/25/2003. They reported monetary value to the 3 biggest, credit reporting agencies. I already have an attorney representing me at Workers' comp. appeaals board. I need a labor attorney. thank you ...M.
