Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Charged with drug test refusal

I was given notification of DOT random drug test at the end of my shift. I reported directly to collection site and waited 1 1/2 hours without being called. I had to pick up my 14 year old daughter so I left without giving my sample. I was charged with a refusal to test and was terminated. I was employed as an aircraft mechanic. Do I have any recourse?
