Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Chase bank pulled my job offer due to a discrepancy in job history dates. I fixed the dates and then filed a letter of appeal as requested by their HR department. They still denied me they said for perjury. My close friend had an error in dates as well which she fixed, and she got hired anyway. She's caucasion, and I'm Hispanic. Is this discrimination or is this legitimate?

Hello.

This is an unfortunate situation, but to claim discrimination you have to demonstrate that the reason you were not hired after appeal is because of your race and not for some other reason. The difference in race alone without more is insufficient to show the discriminatory treatment.
