On the Clock or Not ?

my husband started a new job as laborer. 2 days later the boss instructed him to drive a second truck with other employees to work site 1 1/2 hrs from warehouse. He is to park truck at warehouse following there return. ? Is he on company time ?Should he be paid for these hours? He was not given a option.

Hello. Generally, commute time from home to work is not compensable. However, in your case it sounds like your husband was commuting from one work site to the other work site while at work and during the working hours. Thus, the employer must compensate him for that time.
