Legal Question in Employment Law in California

My company provided me with a company car for business purposes; it is a lease in the company's name, but they are demanding that I pay for the commercial insurance policy on the car (including insuring the company, as well as myself); can they do this? If I have an accident, can they make me pay the deductible?

Assuming the car is used solely for business purposes, all business related expenses, including insuring business property, should be paid for by the employer. If you are in an accident in the course and scope of your employment, the employer would be responsible for the deductible.
