My company refuses to pay me
I have been working for a residential mortgage firm for approximately four months without receiving any payment at all. The compensation structure was supposed to be as follows: 30% of all points, fees earned from originating residential mortgage loans, but with a minimum guaranteed level of ''financial support'' of $3500. For example, if I had a horrendous month and originated zero loans, I would still be entitled to the full $3500. If I earned commission of $2000 during a month, I would receive $1500 in financial support and so on. However, the employer has paid neither me or any of the other employee who originates loans. Is this legal? Please respond to this and let me know my legal rights. At this point I am very frustrated and am strongly considering suing my employer, who tells me that I cannot be paid because ''the company has no money.''

file a complaint with the state labor commissioner. they will pursue your wages without cost to you.
